ten years ago the duo version of RMI made the journey to Belgium for the B-Wave Festival. Unfortunately Gary couldn't join us so we invited two old buddies to join us onstage, Jez Creek and John Christian, for a unique RMI concert from which this is the desk recording.

As always with these things, it was a great chance to mingle with other artists, meet enthusiasts of the scene and generally have a good time. We got a nice set out of it too, and yes any resemblance/reference to 'Sorcerer' on the encore was entirely accidental and spontaneous. It was a fun moment!

radio massacre international's sound defies categorization it is more magical than musical. the music is, first and foremost, improvisational. it is loose in structure but also searching. r.m,i. is all about generating the happy accidents that occur at the ever-changing intersection of multiple moving bodies. when two sequences converge fascinating things happen opening rhythmic and textural options that just moments before were closed to view. it is the creation and exploration of those options that dominates what r.m,i. does in its music.
